Tipron
https://tipron.cerevo.com/

Tipron is a home robot that can automatically project an 80 inch screen from a distance of 3 meters. Its transforming function allows it to project at a variety of different heights and angles and contract to a compact size when not in use. Tipron will automatically adjust its height depending on its current operating mode, for example, Tipron can contract to 40 cm height when charging and moving, then expand to 80 cm when projecting or shooting images. Furthermore, images and video up to 1m high can be projected by adjusting the projection angle.

trans

Tipron’s projector unit can adjust roll, pitch and yaw and features keystone correction so you can project distortion free images and videos to any place on a wall or ceiling. The built in speaker allows you to watch videos without the need for any additional hardware.

projector

Tipron can move to designated places automatically and will return to it’s charging station automatically when it needs to recharge. You can use the Tipron smartphone app to move to specific locations at set times of the day. Also the app can manually remote control Tipron with the live camera video feed being streamed to your smartphone.

app05

app03

Using Tipron’s built in HDCP compatible HDMI socket it is possible to connect and project video from a PC, game console, Blu-Ray player or other media device. You could also connect a wireless streaming device such as Chromecast to enable projection of internet content to any location in your home.

Tipron also features a host of internet connection features. You can register a Twitter hashtag, timeline or news and display that information at a desired location and time.  For example, register a hashtag for a live sports match and Tipron can automatically move next to the TV when the sports match starts, then project the hash tagged messages on the wall. This is possible every time the sports match starts. Internet connected functions will be improved and added so various video streaming services can be used with Tipron.

Debuting at CES 2016 – ORBITREC, a Connected, 3D Printed Road Bike and XON RIDE-1 an Advanced Sensor Module for Bikes

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

5th January 2016, Tokyo

The newest additions to the XON series of smart sports products,  ORBITREC and RIDE-1 will be exhibited at CES Unveiled and CES 2016

Cerevo, an Internet connected consumer electronics developer and creator, is pleased to announce ORBITREC as the newest addition to the XON series of smart sports products. ORBITREC is a connected road bike with advanced internal sensors and a 3D printed frame. In addition to ORBITREC, RIDE-1 has been developed, RIDE-1 is a clip on sensor module allowing existing bike owners to use the advanced sensors and connected features from ORBITREC. Both products will be exhibited at CES Unveiled from 4th January and CES 2016 from 6th January in Las Vegas, USA. They will be available to purchase in spring 2016.

 orbitrec   ORBITREC
https://orbitrec.cerevo.com/

ORBITREC is produced by Triple Bottom Line (designer Satoshi Yanagisawa’s design unit) DMM.make AKIBA and ABBALab. Originally developed from the concept model DFM01, ORBITREC was born from this collaboration. To enable a customized frame to perfectly fit each individual owner, a 3D printing process combining sintered titanium and carbon fiber tubes has been developed. The customized light-weight frame can be used for personal or professional riding, with a delivery time of less than a month and at a price of less than US$7,000.

frame

Various sensors are built into the bike’s frame, which can receive and send information, creating a ride log while cycling. The big data obtained by ORBITREC and RIDE-1 is then analyzed in the cloud to further help and record your riding.  You can also connect to ORBITREC and REC-1 through their companion smartphone applications.

sensor

ORBITREC features a 9 axis sensor (acceleration, angular velocity, geomagnetism), temperature, humidity, atmosphere and illuminance sensors as well as GPS. In addition to basic information such as riding location and velocity, frame status such as lean and impact can be recorded. When combined with the GPS sensor this creates a detailed riding log history that can easily be viewed at any time.

Bluetooth and ANT+ connectivity are available to communicate with other devices and services. For example, using a connected smartphone, if you crash it will be able to automatically send an SMS to a friend, changing suspension damping when passing a certain point or using the illuminance sensors to automatically turn on the light when in tunnels. Detected bumps and road conditions can be uploaded to the cloud via the smartphone app, alerting other riders of any changes in road conditions or dangers ahead.

Untitled

This product has been made using 3D printing technology provided by NTT DATA ENGINEERING SYSTEMS Corporation and uses 3D printed titanium joints. As a result it was possible to mass produce parts with sufficient practical strength using a 3D printer.

RIDE-1 features the same sensors that are built into ORBITREC. Attach RIDE-1 to an existing road or cyclocross bike to experience similar functions to ORBITREC.

hackey1

Hackey
http://hackey.cerevo.com/en/

Hackey is the third product from the “Cerevo Maker series” line, a Cerevo brand targeting developers and makers. In developing a palm size key switch with built in Wi-Fi, Cerevo has created a device that by just turning the key allows you to connect to a web service or application, enabling development of new services and products from both hardware and software engineers.

Hackey’s settings are controlled by a web-based “Dashboard” service, allowing Hackey to be connected to HTTP request compatible services. Services like IFTTT and Zapier are available to customize activities such as sending a message to Twitter, controlling smart light on-off functions and LED notification of weather forecasts. Hackey’s LED lighting can be customized to activate when receiving requests from various services.

“myThings” by Yahoo!Japan is supported by Hackey and the Hackey channel will be enabled to connect with myThings before the end of the year. myThings is an application which is able to create new usage models by connecting IoT products and web services. This collaboration gives even non-professional developers a chance to create something new.  For example, you can configure Hackey and myThings to send messages about activities or purchase a certain product from an e-commerce site by just turning the keymythingslogo

“myThings” by Yahoo! Japan
http://mythings.yahoo.co.jp/

About BlueNinja

BlueNinja is a small IoT module using Toshiba’s low energy SoC `TZ1001` as the main SoC and includes a 9 axis sensor and a pressure sensor. By connecting a lithium ion battery, IoT gadgets like an activity tracker can easily be made. This module can be used by both amateurs and professionals to make prototypes and can even be used for mass produced products as an easy to use module for an instant development.

Toshiba is providing the TZ1001 chip and has provided design information to make this module. Cerevo has developed this module using its experience as a hardware startup making IoT devices, with the aim to drive development of a new generation of IoT devices.

The module will be sold as a single unit and also with a development kit including a breakout board and debugger. Bulk buying for 100 units or 1000 units is also available.
