Cerevo products now available in Dubai!

Cerevo, an Internet connected consumer electronics developer and creator based in Tokyo, Japan, will start showcasing its products in Dubai starting on 1st December (Dubai Time).
The products will be handled by Index Trading & Investment in Dubai through DMM.make Distribution in Japan. The newly added retail locations in Dubai are Virgin Megastore and Ski Dubai, one of the largest indoor ski centers in the world.

At Virgin Megastore, customers can try products such as, a pair of internet connected bindings – SNOW-1 and DOMINATOR “SPECIAL EDITION” – a fully mechanized, transforming replica of the gun used in the hit anime PSYCHO-PASS (©PSYCHO-PASS Committee). Consumers can purchase products not only at Virgin Megastore Mirdif City Centre, but also on the e-commerce site run by Virgin Megastore. Upgraded! Cerevo’s LiveShell X for Akihabara Live Camera. 3 websites live 24/7

Cerevo upgraded its 24-hour live stream feed called “Akihabara Live Camera” to use LiveShell X.

Cerevo started 24 hour streaming using the 1st generation LiveShell in 2011 in cooperation with a company in Akihabara, Aisan Electronic, who are located at the major Akihabara Crossing. This is the 3rd upgrade to the live stream and will use the latest high-end model LiveShell X after previously upgrading to LiveShell PRO and LiveWedge in the past. *Cerevo started the streaming itself with its early times live streaming digital camera in 2010.

The live stream will be handled by LiveShell X, while the camera image will be switched by LiveWedge once every three minutes as in the past. The live stream will also now be available on 3 different services, YouTube Live and FRESH! by AbemaTV in addition to the existing Ustream stream.

Cerevo Exhibits its IoT Smart Toy, DOMINATOR at Lucca Comics & Games: Edizione 2016

Cerevo, an Internet connected consumer electronics developer and creator based in Tokyo, Japan, exhibited its first smart toy, DOMINATOR, a fully mechanized, transforming replica of the gun used in the hit anime PSYCHO-PASS (©PSYCHO-PASS Committee) at Lucca 2016 in Tuscany、Italy from 28th October – 1st November, 2016.

Lucca Comics & Games is the largest European exposition that showcases manga, anime, games, SF and fantasy every year from late October to early November in the town of Lucca, Tuscany, Italy. Major Japanese manga/anime titles, merchandising items and original drawings were displayed and sold, also cosplayers and artists performed in Japan Town as fans gathered from all over the world at Lucca Comics & Games.

Cerevo displayed and demonstrated DOMINATOR which has been created under the supervision of Production I.G director Naoyoshi Shiotani and Nitroplus designer Makoto Ishiwata. DOMINATOR features characteristics identical to the devices seen in PSYCHO-PASS such as automatic transformation, voiceover and sound effects, authentic LED lighting, touch sensor activation, Crime Coefficient analysis and more.

We showcased both the Standard Edition and Special Edition DOMINATOR as well the customized display stand and protector case official accessories at Japan Town. Cerevo intends to expand its brand awareness among PSYCHO-PASS fans overseas and reinforce Cerevo’s enginnering excellence and the fascination that smart toys can bring about by enabling users to become connected while playing.

Guests of all ages experienced DOMINATOR during the expo and they all said FIGATA!! (Cool!) Some guests mentioned they will watch the anime “PSYCHO-PASS“ after trying out DOMINATOR and everyone at Cerevo hopes their fascination will grow over time! Cerevo’s impressions: Overall the expo is quite unique; all guests were full of smiles with plenty of cosplayers dressing as they like attending and everyone was keen to experience what was on show. Attendance was diverse with anime fans, tourists and families mixing in an atmosphere that harked back to the middle ages against the backdrop of Lucca’s gothic cathedral and stone streets.

RIDE-1 is a cycling telemetry device equipped with a 9-axis sensor and wireless connectivity to capture riding dynamics and share data with your riding group, team mates or friends. At Interbike 2016 Cerevo will also exhibit ORBITREC – a titanium and carbon fiber, 3D printed road bike frame with built-in RIDE-1 sensors. These products will be exhibited at Cerevo’s booth and at ANT+’s booth and are scheduled to be released in autumn 2016.

RIDE-1

RIDE-1 has 9 different internal sensors to monitor a variety of cycling parameters and with RIDE-1’s telemetry function, environment data, cycling dynamics, GPS distance information and the route data can displayed in real time on the companion smartphone app. Cycling data and information can also be sent via your smartphone’s 3G or 4G connection to be shared live or in a remote location for monitoring.

RIDE-1 is compatible with ANT+ technology, it can connect with existing sensors via ANT+ to monitor additional factors such as cadence and heart-rate.^*1 Additional functions, such as automatic adjustment of bicycle settings, will be added in future updates.
* 1. In the future power meter, light and suspension control will be supported.

RIDE-1 users can save the historical data accumulated on the RIDE-1 device to the XON web service via Wi-Fi and check archived data on a PC browser or on the smartphone app. It also has a group riding function to let users share and check information about your group in real time.

Automatic Transformation Between Paralyzer and Eliminator Mode
Using geared motors provided by Nidec Corporation, DOMINATOR can automatically transform between Paralyzer and Eliminator modes according to a target’s Crime Coefficient score. DOMINATOR is the world’s first smart toy to commercialize an electrically‐powered deformation mechanism.

Crime Coefficient Analysis
When DOMINATOR is aimed at a target, it will automatically analyze and readout the target’s Crime Coefficient score. Connecting a smartphone will allow DOMINATOR to capture and stream an image from its built-in camera to the companion smartphone app and overlay Crime Coefficient data on the target image.

Official Voiceover by Noriko Hidaka
DOMINATOR features over 100 different voice samples from Noriko Hidaka who provides the Dominator voiceover for PSYCHO-PASS. DOMINATOR can automatically playback voiceovers depending on the situation, such as grasping the grip, detecting an authorized person and more. DOMINATOR has a built in speaker for voiceover and sound effects and can also playback sound via a connected smartphone’s speakers.

Grip Touch Sensor and over 200 LEDs
DOMINATOR has a touch sensor built into the left and right hand sides of grip, enabling detection when held in either hand. DOMINATOR SPECIAL EDITION
The DOMINATOR SPECIAL EDITION features a grip made from natural rosewood with a polished finish. The Public Safety Bureau mark above the grip is crafted from aluminium and decorated with a synthetic ruby. Both materials add an extra air of authenticity to the device. The SPECIAL EDITION will be available for JPY 89,800 (excluding tax) at the Cerevo Official Store on the same day as the STANDARD EDITION goes on sale.

Cerevo will start pre-order sales of DOMINATOR at Cerevo’s booth at Wonder Festival 2016 (Winter). Both the DOMINATOR STANDARD EDITION and SPECIAL EDITION will be available for pre-order^*3. As a bonus for Wonder Festival attendees, pre-orders will be delivered before DOMINATOR goes on general sale. Also demo models of DOMINATOR will be available for hands-on testing at Cerevo’s booth so you will be able to try out various functions and try out the companion app.

LiveWedge Now Supports SD Card Recording at PAL 25fps

Firmware Rev. 1412 has been released for LiveWedge – Cerevo’s live streaming 4 input HDMI switcher, mixer and recorder.

With this firmware update, you will be be able to record at PAL 25fps framerate to SD/HC/XC cards.*1 25fps recording is available through the device menu and also using the LiveWedge application. The companion LiveWedge application for iOS and Android has been updated to version 1.9 and 1.1.0 respectively to support the new 25fps recording option.

*1: 25fps recording supported at resolutions up to and including 720p. When recording at 1080p resolution, framerate is limited 20fps.
