http://s.cerevo.com/s2

LiveShell 2 is the succesor device to “LiveShell”, Cerevo’s highly regarded live streaming device that was first released in 2011. The new model retains the compact and portable design of its predesessor while adding support for HD streaming. Broadcasting video and audio encoded in H.264+AAC, with a resolution of 720p and a bitrate of up to 10Mbps, the LiveShell 2 has the same live streaming capabilities as the higher end LiveShell PRO.

Live streaming is possible via wired LAN or Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac). The addition of 5GHz Wi-Fi support means stable streaming is possible even in bandwidth-congested areas.

Simply connect your video camera to LiveShell 2 via HDMI to enable live streaming without a PC. LiveShell 2 supports several live streaming services, such as Ustream, YouTube Live, Twitch (*1) and RTMP servers. Also available is Local Mode which allows LiveShell 2 to broadcast sound and video to a specific RTMP server in a completely closed LAN environnment. In addition, the RTSP mode can be used for direct delivery of video using the LiveShell 2 as a server (* 2). The LiveShell 2’s multiple live streaming options mean it can used in a wide variety of different situations.

Having a rechargeable battery is an essential feature for professional users and LiveShell 2 has an internal rechargeable Li-po battery that provides up to 3.3 hours (*3) of broadcasting time. It be recharged via the included AC adapter or a mobile USB battery charger (*4).

LiveShell PRO will continue to be sold as higher end high-end model for users that require it’s additional features. With Hackey and IFTTT, you can enable many new usages like getting notified when your kid returns home by asking him to turn this key when he gets back, or etc.

Cerevo will disclose control APIs of Hackey for developers to enable to create services or gadgets linked with Hackey freely. Hackey can be also linked with other web services or gadgets, allowing users to use it as a switch to trigger the action remotely.

Hackey can be used not only to trigger actions as a key switch but also to receive information from internet. With IFTTT recipe, you can control LED of Hackey to illuminate as you want. For example, you can link Hackey with your smart light bulb in your bedroom. You can program Hackey to turn on LED when your bedroom’s light is on and off when the light is off. Then you can turn off the light remotely by turning Hackey’s key, and get confirmed by seeing Hackey’s LED turns off.

key-body600You can also place this switch in the meeting room, to make an update on the online calendar to notify that room is in the use when someone turns on that key, and make another update that room is now available when that key gets turned off, and see also the status by on and off of Hackey’s LED.

The key unit can be replaced by other φ16mm switches sold as common components in the market. Therefore you can replace the key switch with other type of switch or make your own designed switch by using a 3D printer.

CONCEPT
SNOW-1 is snowboard bindings with Bluetooth4.0 LE module and various sensors. Data measured and accumulated when using SNOW-1 will be transmitted to smartphone in real time connected by bluetooth which allows snowboarders to analyze their rides.

xon_img_006_640

Load censors located 4 places under each foot measures the shift of loads by snowboarder and position of the center of gravity. In addition, 2 distortion censors placed in front and end of the snowboard will measure distortion of the board at each section. By checking those data in real time when practicing boarding, snowboarders will be able to get more feedbacks to get skilled.

xon_img_002_640

Measured data can be displayed and overlapped to movies recorded by smartphone. GPS data allows to check the path of the riding, too. By checking measured data with movie, snowboarders will be able to check their rides in an objective way. Information will be displayed graphically on smartphone which helps to grasp their rides from beginners to professionals easily.

xon_img_008_640

In SNOW-1, super luminosity LED lights are installed in toe and heel sections which can be observed from the place 100 meters/30 feet away. LEDs illuminate by the movement of the boarder so boarders can use this function to add visual effects to their rides or to check their riding form by getting indicated with lights during their rides.

BACKGROUND FOR DEVELOPMENT
It’s been 40 years after snowboarding became a popular sports. A lot of advancement made on materials or shapes of the board but not a big innovation had occurred on the point how to improve the skill. We started to plan this product from the view point how consumer electronics developer can cause innovation in snowboarding experience. We used all our know-hows to develop an IoT gear.

It is important to understand how you put loads on the board, and how you shift the center of the gravity and how board is distorting but those information are not easy to grasp not only for beginners but also for professionals.

Shooting video for riding will help to check the riding form but it was difficult to grasp exact data of loading on the board and balancing the center of gravity.

SNOW-1 is a new sports gear with various sensors to solve above problem. It makes possible to analyze how boarders put loads on the board in real time and gives feedbacks to boarders to get skilled more easily.

You will enjoy this new experience on snowboarding.

SPECIFIACATION(MAY CHANGE)
-Bluetooth 4.0(Low Energy)
-3 axis acceleration sensor
-2 distortion sensors
-Load Sensors: 4 sensors for each binding (8 in total)
-Super Luminosity Lights: 2 lights for each binding (4 in total)
-Planned Price: $400 – $600
